Martin Kaptein
I am Martin - a classical pianist and music educator from the Netherlands. For me, piano concerts and piano teaching are ways of passing on an understanding of harmony - not only in a musical sense. I graduated with honours as a Master of Music in Tilburg (NL), and studied under leading professors across Europe.
Over the years, I’ve performed internationally, including winning the St. Cecilia Piano Competition in Porto (Portugal). Alongside performing, I have served as a juror at competitions and lectured on piano and philosophy in countries such as Germany, Italy, and the United States.
Scriabin Club
Attracted to the deep connection of music and philosophy, I found a natural affinity with the art of Alexander Scriabin. His music reaches beyond art - towards the transformation of the spirit. That’s why I founded the Scriabin Club: a space where his vision can grow and inspire.
Scriabin Club aspires to become a leading platform for Scriabin’s music and ideas. It also offers a space for meaningful conversations about art and life. Above all, it is a community that encourages each of us to imagine and work towards a better world through art and reflection.
